قد يتبادر إلى ذهن من يقرأ عنوان الموضوع، أننا بإدخال تقنية الحاسب و التعليم الالكتروني نلغي دور المعلم في العملية التربوية التعليمية …….
فالتعليم الإلكتروني لا يعني إلغاء دور المعلم إنما يصبح دوره أكثر أهمية وأكثر صعوبة فهو شخص مبدع ذو كفاءة عالية يدير العملية التعليمية باقتدار ويعمل على تحقيق طموحات التقدم والتقنية .لقد أصبحت مهنة المعلم مزيجاً من مهام القائد ومدير المشروع البحثي والناقد والموجه، ولكي يكون دور المعلم فعّالاً يجب أن يجمع المعلم بين التخصص والخبرة التأهيل والخبرة اللازمة لصقل تجربته في ضوء دقة التوجيه الفني .
ولا يحتاج المعلمون إلى التدريب الرسمي فحسب بل والمستمر من زملائهم لمساعدتهم على تعلم أفضل الطرق لتحقيق التكامل ما بين التكنولوجيا وبين تعليمهم، ولكي يصبح دور المعلم مهماً في توجيه طلابه الوجهة الصحيحة للاستفادة القصوى من التكنولوجيا على المعلم أن يقوم بما يلي:
1- أن يعمل على تحويل غرفة الصف الخاصة به من مكان يتم فيه انتقال المعلومات بشكل ثابت وفي اتجاه واحد من المعلم إلى الطالب إلى بيئة تعلم تمتاز بالديناميكية وتتمحور حول الطالب بالصورة التي يراها مناسبة لطلابه .
2- أن يطور فهماً عملياً حول صفات واحتياجات الطلاب المتعلمين .
3- أن يتبع مهارات تدريسية تأخذ بعين الاعتبار الاحتياجات والتوقعات المتنوعة والمتباينة للمتلقين .
4- أن يطور فهماً عملياً لتكنولوجيا التعليم مع استمرار تركيزه على الدور التعليمي الشخصي له .
5- أن يعمل بكفاءة كمرشد وموجه حاذق للمحتوى التعليمي .
ومما لاشك فيه هو أن دور المعلم سوف يبقى للأبد وسوف يصبح أكثر صعوبة من السابق , فالتعليم الإلكتروني لا يعني تصفح الإنترنت بطريقة مفتوحة ولكن بطريقة محددة وبتوجيه لاستخدام المعلومات الإلكترونية وهذا يعتبر من أهم أدوار المعلم .
ولأن المعلم هو جوهر العملية التعليمية لذا يجب عليه أن يكون منفتحاً على كل جديد بمرونة تمكنه من الإبداع والابتكار .
